Applications in the LPG Industry
LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) is a mixture of propane and butane liquefied under moderate pressure at ambient temperatures. It is traded, transported, and sold based on its mass. Coriolis mass flow meters have a wide range of applications in the LPG sector:
Custody Transfer (Trade Handover): This is the most crucial application. It is used for metering LPG during unloading and loading from trucks and ships, transferring LPG from producers to storage operators, and from storage operators to end customers (e.g., large industrial users or gas companies). The meter is essential for financial settlements between parties, demanding extremely high accuracy and reliability.
